Our Damascena Rose petals come from small organic plantations in the region of Kozani in northern Greece. Each spring, between April and early May, farmers arrive at their fields before dawn to gather the freshly opened roses of the day before the sun touches their petals and consumes the precious antioxidants, which Roses have in abundance.
The daily harvest lasts just a couple of hours, and the harvesters visit the fields several times during these few blossoming weeks of the year to gather each new flower, the day it opens its petals.
