Good dishes do not always require extreme effort or time. Always keep your kitchen stocked with these 5 pantry essentials for an unexpectedly delicious spaghetti condiment in a flash.


1 tbsp chili flakes

1/2 lemon (zest and drops of lemon juice)

1 clove garlic, thinly sliced

1 small onion, thinly sliced

olive oil


Cook al dente the pasta of your choice

(we are irreversibly in love with the spaghettoni of  Benedetto Cavallieri!).

Prepare the sauce:

Sauté gently the onion, garlic and chilli flakes in a bit of olive oil.

Add the ready pasta in the pan and stir well,

so as to fuse the aromas and flavors of the ingredients.

When mixed well,

remove from the stove,

add the lemon zest and some drops of lemon juice and serve.

You have just cooked with nothing!
